By Tamika Whitenack I am just really, really amused by the amount of food that I have at the moment, so I am going to give you a full inventory. I did not spend a penny of my own money to obtain any of it. 1 futsu squash 2 delicata squash Assorted green tomatoes Assorted red tomatoes 3 lemons 4 cups of cooked chickpeas 1 cup white beans 3 bunches of cilantro A bag of shredded carrots and a few grape tomatoes Radish greens 1 beet A lot of pluots/plums Some apples A pear or two Some Cabot cheddar Some parmesan Balsamic vinagrette Assorted spices 5 cloves of garlic Butter 2 cups of hummus 2 cups of better hummus some tabbouleh 2 cups of greek yogurt a container of cream cheese 3 roasted sweet potatoes 3 cups of cooked peas 1 eggplant 1 bell pepper 1 cucumber a small head of cabbage some tofu 4 eggs some tomato paste a bit of assorted salad mix And that is not even accounting for my baking supplies, snack collection, and stash of dark chocolate!! ...

Back to School :)

By Tamika Whitenack Three weeks into the semester, and I still haven’t blogged! What a hiatus. The explanation is that I have been caught up in a whirlwind of activities and busy weekends, but I will do my best to include everything in this blog post. Although it took me a couple weeks to adjust back to the Vassar pace of life and mindset for doing schoolwork, I’m quite pleased to be back at school and enjoying everything now. I spent Thursday afternoon watching my Spanish telenovela Velvet and baking for the Climate Strike on Friday, and I was just so happy! I also got a lot of compliments on my outfit that day, which was a good confidence booster hehe. Where to start? I suppose the main reason I am at Vassar is for school, so I’ll share about classes. I have 4 this semester and really enjoy all of them. My Intro to Special Education class is allowing me to engage more with disability studies work, which is something I haven’t thought about too much but am grow...
