A Quick Update, but Mostly Pictures

Hi Friends!

I don't have too much to say but I did promise pictures last time I posted! I haven't been up to too much, but xc is in full swing, I visited my aunt in Maine for a night, and I got the flu! School has definitely gotten rough, but I got through the first of many midterm hysterias of the semester so I'm hoping to feel a little more on top of my studies this upcoming three day weekend.

Anyways, here are some pictures

This has definitely evolved since this pic was taken, but some form of egg + beans + tortilla + add ins has become a staple in my kitchen

One of my favorite dining hall treats is mixing applesauce, cereal, and peanut butter. As a bonus Dewick had blueberries which made everything fun and purple!

    omg i miss pb our dining hall is nut free now cryyyy but i love applesauce with pumpkin seeds and sometimes granola!! and i liked all the sun pics. and the suite pics....so ready for that couch in a few dayss!! also tortillas and egg and beans sounds yummy

Hello friends! I’m officially back at school, but before we get into that I did so many fun school things before classes even started that I need to share! So Wind Ensemble takes a trip every year, and this year we got extra funding from the music department so we got to go Barcelona!!! So I flew back to Tufts a week early and went to the airport with my whole WE gang Tuesday night. Everyone was so excited! We could not believe we were about to be in Spain! Then after a few hours of waiting at the airport we learned that the airline could only send six of us to Spain. We were not about to be in Spain...Because one guy was flying on a different flight and was already in the air, we decided that we couldn’t just leave him to fend for himself in Spain for a week so we sent the six people with tickets to Barcelona while the rest of us rode the subway back to Tufts. tidbits of a peaceful life

 After a long hiatus from this blog site, I am back with some updates on my final semester of college! In typical-Tamika fashion, I'm going to structure this as lists for the sake of ease. The short summary of my life at the moment is that I have a wonderfully interesting courseload but quite relaxed workload, which means I spend a lot of time doing leisurely activities and sleeping (and also applying for jobs/trying to figure out post-grad plans, but I'm intentionally leaving most of that drama out for now...you'll get an update when I have concrete news!).  I suppose it has been a while! While my lifestyle of running, cooking, and bits and pieces of school and projects hasn't changed much, a lot has happened and spring has truly sprung! It's truly that season, as the goslings are out and I have been hissed at by protective parent geese. Hurrah! Some notes of late: Last class for one of my education classes yesterday! We had a little off-campus party with Exodus, our community partner and the host organization for our formerly incarcerated classmates. It was so cute, and the first party I've had in a long time (because of COVID...) We all got little certificates and there were balloons and cake . And it was so fun to finally meet the non-Vassar students and chat a little bit :) This class has definitely been a learning experience and motivates me to more actively seek out relationship building with those whose life experiences are vastly different from my own.
