tidbits of a peaceful life
After a long hiatus from this blog site, I am back with some updates on my final semester of college! In typical-Tamika fashion, I'm going to structure this as lists for the sake of ease. The short summary of my life at the moment is that I have a wonderfully interesting courseload but quite relaxed workload, which means I spend a lot of time doing leisurely activities and sleeping (and also applying for jobs/trying to figure out post-grad plans, but I'm intentionally leaving most of that drama out for now...you'll get an update when I have concrete news!).

I am fairly sure I have a copy of Rules for Radicals, but I would love to hear more about Playbook for Progressives and the framework for community organizing as I am meeting a number of community organizers in my work with Oakland families and educators. The ones who this makes me think of are those that have combined their skills and interests with an entrepreneurial bent and created community based organizations and businesses---check out: https://www.facebook.com/goodgoodeatzoakland and https://www.google.com/search?q=pochino+press&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS776US776&oq=pochino+press&aqs=chrome..69i57.5142j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8.
